List hygiene
List hygiene is how a self-exclusion program stays lawful.
The list has to be current, scoped and owned by the property. The comparison only answers one question.

Self-exclusion only works if the list is current. An expired enrollment, a duplicate record, or a name with no usable photo will produce either a miss or a stop the property cannot defend.
Enrollments also do not always end when people expect. In Pennsylvania, for example, one-year and five-year casino exclusions stay in effect until the person formally asks to be removed. The list your operators compare against has to reflect that, and every other change, on the day it happens.
Hygiene means four things the property owns:
- Every enrollment is documented and dated.
- Removals, extensions and expiries are processed on the same list your operators compare against.
- The list holds only people the property is required or authorized to identify.
- A trained person reviews a possible match before anyone is stopped.
Honor the enrollment. Do not log the floor.
VisualCasino does not build a gallery of everyone who walked in so the property can search it later. The comparison runs against the list you maintain, from a still your operator chose.
